We are relocating to the Phoenix area from Chicago and are hoping to find a friendly neighborhood (within a reasonable commute to the airport) that would welcome a bi-racial family. I wonder about renovating an older home in North Tempe or the communities in South Tempe like "The Lakes".
Does anyone have thoughts to share about these areas or recommendations for others that we might consider? Thanks so much. |

I’d say you are making a very good choice and the Tempe area should fit your needs very well. I personally like the area of The Lakes, but don’t know too much detail about it.
