Here's the link for the Brazilian steakhouse in Scottsdale. It's at Scottsdale Road and Shea, just south of Shea. I don't think you're looking at competing in quite the same market as what this place is doing but might be good for your research, anyway. We went once to it and weren't terribly impressed by what you got for the $. Very poor quality meats.

Idel, that would be great! If you come across a place for lease or sale please let me know. We loved the areas of Scottsdale, Chandler, Gilbert, Litchfield Park and Goodyear. We just got back from AZ this week. We loved it! I think our restaurant would do great, whether we opt for the fast food type or the sit down dinner like Fogo e Brasa and Rio Sabor restaurants. We noticed that in every town, it seemed for us anyway, that there seems to be the same types/names of restaurants. not much difference. People seem to stay local for this reason and why bother sitting thru traffic to get to another town to eat the same food!! boy or boy traffic is nuts. comparable to the long island expressway here, kind of worse actually!! so thanks to all of you for the input. we are definitely keeping AZ in mind. Foma, its farofa and isn't it fantastic!!! i love it too!!! We keep it handy at home as well! Its seasoned yucca flour, bacon flavored. I might as well give my opinions as far as the two brazilian places we went to there. Fogo e Brasa - i didn't care for. the meat was dry, the salad bar was not labeled, not lit up so you couldn't see the food, and not much of a choice. on the other hand, Rio Sabor in Scottsdale, the meat was very tender, the salad bar, not labeled but yet quite tasty. both pricey...more than most places in NY, believe it or not.

Ok, I will. If you want, my email is lmoderator cut and I will be glad to keep in touch while in the areas you mentioned. Goodyear around route 10 and when it meets with Avondale will be a great place to have the restaurant as there are a lot of big business and car dealers.

Actually there are several places in Phoenix for a good restaurant.
You need to contact strip mall leasing agents and other such places and people. I personally know of one place that would be great. Great traffic both in the morning and evening. In a rather poor section of town, however they are building that part up. The cost of the building is $150k and it's a drive thru also. contact me at silvrtip1 at yahoo dot com and I'll give you the info you need. locating in phoenix would be cheaper than in scottsdale and would open you up to both types of pocketbooks. Those with a lot of money and those with medium amt of money. If you locate in Avondale you will not be close to Phoenix patrons. You need to decide where you want to locate. And how you will handle expansion should you need it. Depending on the jobs available and where you will be located, you could possibly get monetary assistance from the city. There are many things to think about. I just read your posts below. You are quite right about the same restaurants over and over, which is why Phoenix would be a great place. Most of the new restaurants go to Tempe, Chandler, Scottsdale, all around the outside perimeter of Phx. regards SJ Last edited by silvrtip1; 08-03-2007 at 08:21 PM. Reason: took out a line |

There is a Brazilian restaurant in Goodyear on Indian School/Wigwam. I've never been there because it is next to our favorite Greek place
Anyway, that might eliminate Goodyear for a location. |

I've lived in PHX a couple years ago, I'm native brazilian, and there were no Brazilian restaurants while I lived there. The brazilian community in AZ has been growing lately, so it will be a good opportunity for you.
