Default heading south!!

am looking to move to Globe,AZ
is it a decent place to live?
what about the commute time to pheonix?
is there alot of work in the cooling and heating trade in AZ?

Forget the commute...Phoenix is about 80 miles one way. Globe is an old mining town and not much to look at, it snows a little in the winter, but it has restaurants and a Walmart. It borders the San Carlos (Apache Indian) reservation, so if you want a casino nearby, I guess that would be a plus. I know several people who live there that like it, but it's not for everyone. It's never appealed to me.

I don't know anything about the a/c business, but I gotta believe you could find work...it does get a little warm here in the summer.

And the road to Globe is a twisty two lane very scary road... the folks that do commute somewhere are throwing safety to the wind in their hurry to get home!

takes50minutes, I have to disagree with you somewhat. I patrolled US60 from Mesa to Superior for 21 years...

The road is fine; From the tunnel to Top of the World it's actually a fun drive because of the curves;

It's the DRIVERS that are scary!!!
