Another thing to consider is to go to one of smaller, general aviation airports. . . I believe that both the Scottsdale airport, and the Deer Valley Airport have restaurants, and windows. . . . a great place to watch planes, especially in the summer when you don't want to be outdoors!

Another idea: Along Air Lane, just east of 24th St., there's a restaurant called the Left Seat. It's right on the north edge of the Airport. Go there for breakfast and lunch, and you can watch planes as you eat.

I have another suggestion... if you're really bold. Go to the intersection of 40th st & University in South Phoenix and go north on 40th st until it ends at the banks of the Salt River. There are a few other little streets in the area that go past some industrial/ warehouse buildings. You will be RIGHT there practically as the planes land. I've done this while on my bicycle. Just one thing... it is a sketchy area, so watch out, and don't blame me if you get arrested!
