Default Your favorite ethnic restaurant?

Hmm, I think for me I would say the TeePee on 44th St. and Indian School. Yes, it may have gone downhill since George Bush ate there (not surprisingly), but I still like it. How about you?

The Pita Grill (Camino a Lago Marketplace) in Peoria is pretty good. A nice casual atmosphere with good food at a good price.

No, we are merely commenting on the fact I ate there before and after, and before was better.

Let me think of another place - I would say Chop Wok on Scottsdale Road and Shea has some decent Chinese food.

TeePee has never been a place I would recommend. What do they cook that's special?

There is a good Mexican seafood restaurant on McDowell around 19th st called San Carlos Seafood Restaurant. The culichi there is pretty good. It's a poblano pepper sauce cooked with seafood.

Some of our favorites are The Wild Thaiger Restaurant in Phoenix, Persian Room, and Pars Persian Cuisine in Scottsdale Pars Persian Cuisine.

They make good enchiladas and thanks for the recommendation.

TeePee is about as "ethnic" to Mexico as Domino's is Italian.

It's like going to Chinatown in San Fran for Panda Express.

It's o.k. for Americanized border food, but owes its roots more to the US than Mexico. Go to Los Sombreros, Barrio Cafe and other joints for more authentic Mexican fare.

We may not be riding the light rail together, but I'm totally with joninaz on this one. Tee Pee may be okay for Mexican-American border food, but if you really want good "ethnic" food, look elsewhere. In addition to the places mentioned above, there are countless good Mexican places on 16th St and 24th St in Central Phoenix and along south Central Avenue in south Phoenix. There's great Vietnamese to be had on both the east and west sides, countless Indian and Middle Eastern restaurants in Tempe, and so much more. There's too much to list here. movin'on -- are you looking for anything in particular?
