Default FBR Open
Looking for a place to stay during the FBR open Jan 26 thru 1 Feb 09. Have been to scottsdale before staying at timeshare resorts in the area, but all are booked through the golf tournament. Any ideas on places to stay that are convenient to the TPC course, and at at decent price?

Check the zip code on a hotel site and see what's available. That has got to be the WORST weekend for hotels (as well as nascar weekends). That weekend, Barrett Jackson and Russo Steele and about a half dozen other car auctions in N. Scottsdale and then there's other events that go on that weekend too. It's a big ol mess.

Try VRBO.com and look for rentals in the Grayhawk or 85255 area. Grayhawk is 3-4 miles North of TPC. Good luck.

Not sure of what your budget is, but if you are looking for a nice place to stay try Scottsdale Luxury Suites. They have a lot of different options from hotels, to condos, to houses on Camelback Mountain.

Also try Kierland area 85254. This is just a couple miles south of TPC. I would presume you have already checked the big resorts nearby (Westin Kierland, Fairmont Princess and Marriott Desert Ridge)?

Be glad it wasnt last year when it was also SuperBowl...
