Talking Best "fun" apartment/s in Scottsdale for singles in their 30s?

Hello all!

First off I'm very familiar with Scottsdale as I've lived here since 97. I'm looking for input as to the best "fun" apartment/s in Scottsdale for professional singles in their 30s/40s? What I mean by fun is that there is activity at the pool, in the fitness room, rec room, etc... by like minded individuals looking to meet new people. I'm not looking for beer pong, beer bongs, HS kids at the pool, etc...drinking and grilliing is certainly fine but on more of a mature level...

I know what Old Town is all about - I've lived at San Tropez - and know that there really aren't any options for more mature folks other than renting a loft at Optima or 3rd Ave Lofts. I think I'd like to be a bit further N though...

I've lived at Desert Club, and while the apartments are nice, it's not much of a scene. I checked out San Antigua, Alexan, Dakota, Edge, Regents and Legacy and they all seemed quiet as well. Shade in Phx is nice but too far N...

I really think I'd like the Kierland area as it's fairly central. Does anyone know about Paragon, The Legend or The Tradition? I took a look at Paragon and it was nice - but again, not much activity going on. I've heard the Legend and Tradition are more hip and active?

Any feedback you can provide on the Kierland area apartments or perhaps on some I've overlooked would be greatly appreciated!

Mmmm,

what you should do is check out those apartments during the times that you expect the people to be out by the common or pool areas, i.e. Saturday 12-5 pm...really, since you are from the area, you should have no problems checking out those apts. Don't go during the weekday afterwork, go see it during saturday. That is what I did in chicago and wanted live in a fun complex.

I lived at The Legend for about a year (back in 2000) and while the location was good, and the grounds/pools were very nice...I can't say I remember ever really seeing many of my neighbours hanging out or even being very friendly. Everyone pretty much kept to themselves. I enjoyed living there, but, at least at that time, did not view it as a place to meet friends. But that very well may be different now as the surrounding area has grown so much since then!

I'm not sure of what places would fit your ideal, but I'd think it would make more sense to seek a place that is decent and within walking distance of fun establishments. Being really "near" Old Town, Kierland, LGO, Mill, etc. would seemingly be better than being on top of them, or having them come back and live next door. Know what I mean? You get the best of both worlds... a selection of nightlife options where you can let loose, but a calm abode to rest the head.
