Scottsdale Gun Club has a great selection...tho prices can be about 10-15% high.

Sportsmans Warehouse has decent prices...and will price match...tho the selection is average.

Lone Wolf on the westside also has decent prices/selection.

Do you have an idea of what you want? Will it be for protection against animal wildlife...or people wildlife?

I can't remember the last time I bought a gun from a retail store. I buy online and do face-face deals with guys I meet on gun chat boards. Scottsdale Gun Club does have a pretty good deal running on police turn-in Glocks now for $349. They're beaters, but everyone needs a beater. I've bought a lot on SIGforum, Glocktalk and Arizonashooting.com has a great classifieds section too. Last gun I bought was a Remington model 700 from a private seller at the Tucson gun show a few weeks ago. Stole it and paid no sales tax.

Why not buy in Montana? Then you don't have to deal with transporting them across multiple state lines. It might not be a big deal, but it's one less worry. And Montana folks probably know what arms work best for their intruders (bears, elk, etc) than ours (lizards, crazy spouses, hip hop scenesters).

I like guns etc on alma school in chandler. Good prices and good service. I found my kel-tec there cheaper than anywhere else.

I also like caswells in mesa, nice shop, ok selection and a range on site so you can try before you buy.

I think this is one of the most (if not THE) expensive in the Phx area. It is very nice though. I don't think my husband (a big gun collector) would ever, ever buy there.

If you know what you want, you should check out the gun show at the Az State Fairgrounds this weekend. My husband has gotten some stellar deals there...especially with the economy as it is...you can get a fantastic bargain.

Then, again...you REALLY have to know guns to do it this way.

There used to be a place on 19th Avenue by Thunderbird that was very good, but I think they went out of business.

You might also consider going to gun shows that come here, particurlarily the ones by Crossroads of The West. They usually have one about once a month on the average at the State Fair Grounds on 19th Ave & McDowell.

I've gotten good deals on stuff there before, including a refurbished German Mauser, with a new stock, trigger, and a 22-250 barrel. I love that rifle because of its superb accuracy. I also bought my Springfield M1-A, and gun safe from a couple of vendors there about 10 years ago.
