Hi,

Being a new part-time resident of AZ, and reading about all the areas in and around Phoenix, I'm curious if anyone knows where the main McCain home is located?

Just wondering....

He has 2 in AZ. (and many others elsewhere!)

Found this online so can't guarantee it but as to one he owns in AZ: ""John McCain has a $4.66 million, 6500 square foot condominium at the luxury high rise "Residences" at 2211 East Camelback Road. "

The house where he lived for a long time and where Cindy grew up is on Central Avenue, just north of Northern on the west side of the street. The last time I was in Phoenix, the house was for sale, but I don't know if it has sold yet or not.

Interesting. I thought I had heard he had a 'ranch' in Phoenix. (His main home, anyway. Obama claims McCain has 7 residences. Must be nice!)

Thanks for the replies!

Well, his wife is Chairman of the Board for Hensley & Company, a Phoenix-based Anheuser-Busch distributor and her family is OLD money. By marriage, he may own 7 homes. Who cares?

I personally don't care, but apparently Obama cares since I keep seeing the ad on TV. (His claim is you can't own 7 homes and understand the 'middle class'. I'm guessing Obama has all 7 of McCains' addresses!)

But honestly, I'm not trying to start a political post or anything like that, I was just curious where he lives...or where the McMansion is.

Senator Obama has a point, here. No one with the financial wherewithall to own 7 homes (and, no doubt, seven "luxury" homes), can possibly understand the financial stress of an individual or family living on 30 to 50 thousand dollars a year. This would be like expecting a struggling, but paying their bills, middle class family in suburban American to understand the life of a homeless person in India. . . . there is simply no basis for "comparison". . . .
The south side of Chicago (where I was born and raised) is, however a much more "accurate" barometer to "the norm", of life in America. I cannot help but believe that Senator Obama does understand and care about the well being of the "average" person in America, that he will not put the well being of the wealthy and powerful above that of the average citizen. That is the kind of change that we need in our governement, if the United States is going to survive. JMHO
