Id need a better picture to ID it.

Get a good magnifying glass and count the number of eyes. If it has 6 eyes, grouped into 3 sets of 2, its a recluse (Loxoceles spp).

Yes, there are brown recluses in arizona. I am not sure if that is one, don't know a whole lot about spiders. All I know is that they are not ones you want to be bit by So.. hopefully it isn't one!

i just found the pic.. it was from a few years ago.
my doctor said no recluse in arizona.

i had 2 bites..one on my arm that just itched and went away.
one on my leg that didnt.

i shouldve went to another doctor but by the time he was done with me, i was too far gone. mentally and physically.

cdc calmed me down.
eventually i healed.

and threw the spider away.

probably a moot point but: no actual "brown recluse" in AZ, there is, however, a closely related specie, the AZ brown spider. Steve -O is the most knowledgable here about such things. . . I would suggest directing any "urgent" questions to him, personally.

like most spiders, they are just about everywhere, but they are called recluse for a reason. They really do keep to themselves. Let's hope they stay that way.

Most recluse bites usually dont affect most people. Its only those who are very allergic to their cytotoxic venom that can develop nasty lesions, etc. I doubt it was a recluse, but your photo isnt clear also. Brown recluse spiders are also called "fiddler spiders" because of the fiddle marking on their body. This marking would start near their eyes and run up towards their abdomens.
