The sad thing, if the kids are born here they are Americans and guess what? Mexico doesn't want them and won't take them. What does that tell us?

Beautifully stated, Nita
This "Bleeding Heart" approach could be applied to any individual committing a crime. Should we excuse a Father or Mother when they murder someone or rob a bank merely because of their poor children? The list could go on and on . . .
Illegals are common criminals and should be treated as such!

First you have the "Patriot Act", DUI checkpoints, then raids like these...that's how it starts...next "true" Americans are being stopped, frisked, questioned for no apparent reason...homes are being searched - no need for search warrants anymore...computer chips are implanted to track your every move...
It's all very subtle...do you want to live in a "US" like the above? If you support these raids you support a non-American way of life...
|
Considering the (now diminishing thank God) numbers of illegals still coming into the USA-----------the Patriot Act is a sick farce. If Bush were serious about securing things............our southern border especially would be closed/locked.

Well: one sees very few White Mexicans here illegally-----------being they tend to be the 'ruling class' SOB they usually have visas and can come here any time legally. Mexico does not want its 'brown' people either.

Wingzer0...construction jobs for one. Visit a new housing track and look whos working. Or have a pool company or landscaper do some work for you and guess who will show up. We had a pool put in about three years ago. Every one of the subs, other then the electricians, were non-english speaking hispanics. And yes they were illegal. They would disappear for days after promising to complete their work and when asked we were told they went to Mexico to visit with family. It was frustrating to say the least.

Then you haven't looked. Construction and landscape companies were full of them in Arizona. They would work for low-ball wages which drove down wages for American workers who were now forced to work at under $10/hour. Imagine that, construction jobs in this climate for under $10/hour. There becomes a point at where it's more cost effective to stay home and collect unemployment than get heat stroke all day working for peanuts. Meanwhile, the construction companies were raking in profits like never before. It was pure greed fueled by illegal immigration.

Very valid point, Kdog.
Not only were the Illegals willing to work for a lower rate, they were also "sponging" off our Social Services while contributing absolutely nothing.
Considering there was no drop in the price of Goods or Services, the Consumer / Taxpayer was literally paying twice while the Unethical Employer was "running to the bank" with huge profits.
Bottom Line . . . MODERN DAY SLAVERY disguised as "helping those in need"!
