Default Yellow water that smells

Maybe someone has an idea what this is.

Yesterday all my water was yellow and had a chemical oily smell.

I called the water company and they flushed the line. It still smells.

They also flushed my neighbors and across the street. It was all on this street.

I phoned others here in az city, that were not on this street and theirs was ok.

I asked what is the cause and they could not give me an answer. Any ideas?

Absolutely no idea, amatrine . . . however, I definitely would not drink it.

Take a sample of your water to an independent water testing lab to find out what it is. Report the results to your local newspaper, who would most likely love to print that information, much to the chagrin of your water company. That's what I would do.

Are you kidding me? Of course I'd pay for it. If my water was yellow and smelled like chemicals, and the water company told me they had no idea what it was, I'd have a sample down to an independent testing lab pronto.

I do not drink the water, but I bathe in it and brush my teeth. Next time it turns yellow I will get a sample.

And I bet you are using a whitening toothpaste! lol

But seriously, if it is yellow, smells or not, I would not use it for anything but to flush the toilet!!
