New to Phoenix, help me out (Glendale, Scottsdale: move, entertainment, buy)

So I moved here back in Dec. I am a HUGE car lover and back east I knew all the hot spots. Im not big into street racing, but I would like to know a spot where everyone cruise's. Nothing better then sitting back and watching beautiful rides cruise by.

Now I hear Scottsdale is the place, but I havent been up there yet. I live in the west valley, is there any place out here??

Also, I found Dobbins point, what a beautiful look out point. Are there any other nice lookout points?

Hello and welcome to Arizona! My daughter and her boyfriend love to visit a friendly cruise on a Friday or Saturday evening. It is a great way to meet people, and cheap entertainment! Except when you get the urge to buy your first oldie; then the money starts to disappear! Check out the desertcruisers.com website. There are many car enthusiasts in the Phoenix metro area. You might also enjoy visiting the Good Guys car show which is in November, I think. There are several new shows held at the Westgate Center in Glendale. There is a friendly gathering on Friday evenings at the NW corner of 35th Ave and Northern in Phoenix; it has been at that location for years. Also one at the Wal-Mart on 83rd Ave and Union Hills, or somewhere around there, Saturday evenings.

The one in the NW valley is in the Safeway center at 83rd ave north of Beardsley. The big one is in Scottsdale and worth driving to. My bf tries to make it out there every week. Check out the car clubs online and you'll find out much more!

pavilions are where you want to go. Most of the car forums talk about that.

There is a giant group on the west side for subuaru and sometime have a big AWD meet at ASU.

I would do what sablebaby recommended, check out car forums. But depending on what your scene is, would be what website i would give you.

I was at the 5 & Diner on a Friday night and they had a car show. It looked like a regular group so you might check that out.
