That's so strange...I didn't get any mosquito bites this year and didn't even see any at my house. Having moved from Nashville that was a treat!

You're so lucky. I've gotten so many mosquitoe bites this year its not even funny. BTW- I'd love to visit Nashville sometime- I'm a huge country music fan, living there sounds out of the question though if the mosquitoes are even worse there then they are here!

I'm glad you guys are enjoying the cooler weather. My house has been about 70-72 all day and I am freezing! I had to pull out my fleece pants. I keep my thermostat on 81 so it being this cool in the house I am a popsicle. At least our electric bill should go down since the air is now not coming on! |

I'm really enjoying this thread
![]() You see, I am moving to Phoenix at the end of November from Massachusetts. It's fun to think of 70 as a cooler day! Here its been around 50 during the day and 35-40 at night for about a week. I'm holding off on turning on the heat because it is so expensive (oil heat!) We usually wait until the first frost warning- you can't let your pipes freeze, afterall. It was about 60 when I drove home from work today and I had the top down on the convertible. The fall colors are lovely and everything, but I am really looking forward to nice weather while I'm thinking of all the Massachusetts folks shoveling snow ![]() |

My son had a baseball game at 7:30 yesterday, Sunday morning. It was almost unbearable. The wind was so hard and so constant and I'm sure it wasn't much above 60 degrees. I moved here from Boston almost 20 years ago so I wouldn't have to ever again experience a windchill factor. I was not a happy camper....
![]() ![]() ![]() I had on jeans, a shirt, a pullover sweater, boots, a hooded zip up sweatshirt and a blanket and I was still shivering and my teeth were chattering! But then I remembered that it is not always like this....just a few more months until it is 100 again....oh happy thoughts....LOL ![]() |

It's interesting how all the new arrivals want the heat back;
I'm willing to guess ALL of us natives are overjoyed to be rid of it. |
