Yes, this weather is great. Wish it would be like this all year long!

I cant stand the 100+ degrees here 6 months out of the year its miserable/mosquitoes galore as well- so its either bit from head to toe or covered from head to toe in deet perfume- UGH! Dont like either option

That's so strange...I didn't get any mosquito bites this year and didn't even see any at my house. Having moved from Nashville that was a treat!

You're so lucky. I've gotten so many mosquitoe bites this year its not even funny. BTW- I'd love to visit Nashville sometime- I'm a huge country music fan, living there sounds out of the question though if the mosquitoes are even worse there then they are here!

Nashville's ok. The mosquitos aren't too bad, but they are definitely there. If you're a country music fan you'd love it....you see the country artists out and about all of the time. Sometimes that can be good and other times bad depending on their behavior..lol I have actually quit listening to a few people based on how I know they really act having had dealt with them.

I'm glad you guys are enjoying the cooler weather. My house has been about 70-72 all day and I am freezing! I had to pull out my fleece pants. I keep my thermostat on 81 so it being this cool in the house I am a popsicle. At least our electric bill should go down since the air is now not coming on!

I'm really enjoying this thread
You see, I am moving to Phoenix at the end of November from Massachusetts. It's fun to think of 70 as a cooler day! Here its been around 50 during the day and 35-40 at night for about a week. I'm holding off on turning on the heat because it is so expensive (oil heat!) We usually wait until the first frost warning- you can't let your pipes freeze, afterall. It was about 60 when I drove home from work today and I had the top down on the convertible.
The fall colors are lovely and everything, but I am really looking forward to nice weather while I'm thinking of all the Massachusetts folks shoveling snow

Phoenix will be nice at the time of your move, that way you can get used to the heat in a more gradual way, I originally moved here the month of July and it was quite a shock at how hot and still the air was, I kind of wanted to hop back on a plane and get out of dodge, but I survived Hope the move goes well!

My son had a baseball game at 7:30 yesterday, Sunday morning. It was almost unbearable. The wind was so hard and so constant and I'm sure it wasn't much above 60 degrees. I moved here from Boston almost 20 years ago so I wouldn't have to ever again experience a windchill factor. I was not a happy camper.... I had on jeans, a shirt, a pullover sweater, boots, a hooded zip up sweatshirt and a blanket and I was still shivering and my teeth were chattering!

But then I remembered that it is not always like this....just a few more months until it is 100 again....oh happy thoughts....LOL

It's interesting how all the new arrivals want the heat back;

I'm willing to guess ALL of us natives are overjoyed to be rid of it.
