My notice came in the mail which issued the ticket around the 1st week of Dec. It only has a complaint # but no case #. However, I "did" go to their web site to see the video. I went to the state site, but nothing came up under my name for any cases or citations. Is there something supposed to be there at all?

Someone said checking the web site is considered "served", but I've heard others say no. I will be avoiding answering the door I guess.

Right or wrong, My guess is yes, you have been served since you have a complaint number and pin to see the info.

Need HELP please! I recently was taken a picture by a traffic camera in Scottsdale,AZ, and I got the citation to appear in court by Scottsdale police department. They say that if I don´t appear they´ll suspend my license and that I don´t want. And if I pay, my Allstate insurance will go up.I need to be in court by April first. I have read some advices about ignoring the court notice and avoid/dodge the server if he ever comes. Has anybody experienced that before? How realistic is it that someone will show up at my door? and if they do, am I in trouble?also a company called 123 No Ticket said they could "kill" the ticket and that no points would be assesed to my license nor my insurance would increase? any feedback or personal experience with that? any realistic answer is welcome. thanks.

Default befriend

lolo44,

I have used the City Photo Radar Information packet. It wouldn't be worth my time to research the issue and they guarantee what they have. I like you read through these blogs but wanted the details. I’m glad I did. My citation has been dismissed. I don’t know how anyone can be successful without knowing everything. I went to City Photo Radar and picked up the packet in person at their office. The other company 123noticket… I received their flyer also but they don’t have an office or a phone number. I won’t do business with a company I can’t contact and check out. There is a lot of information (details) which are not in these blogs. I would urge you to get the packet so you have the details of what you need to do.

Well, I haven't heard anything yet. I checked the AZ state case search but nothing appears under my name. Upon looking at the photo again taken of the driver, it's in black and white. It's very bad quality so you can't see who the driver is (grainy picture with very dark shadows shown inside the car). It's possible that someone may have screened this ticket and chucked it. Original ticket was issued near the beginning of Dec 2008. So, things appear to be ok so far. How long do they have still to pursue this?

Default Bad news guys...

Dodging photo radar ticket server won't get you off the hook
http://www.azfamily.com/news/local/s....226e9ace.html

Apparently they can legally suspend your license even without serving you now.

I also have a question, is there still an option to attend traffic school when you are served by the process server?
I was served a ticket earlier this year and I was planning to try to avoid service, so I've waited until it was WAY too late for the "7 days prior to court date" stipulation.
However, after reading this article today I think that I would rather pay the fee from traffic school if that is possible. Do you guys have any advice on what I should do?

I have a very simple answer to all of this. DON'T SPEED. Honestly, how hard is all of this to figure out? At times I feel like I live amongst neanderthals.

That argument has recently become "null and void" in light of recent developments. Of course the camera opponents have been stating all along this is a bogus argument, and I guess you guys decided not to listen. People "not speeding" STILL are getting tickets. Can we say "I told you so" now? Can we please have the next general argument you guys are going to repeat over and over ad nauseam so we can squash that one too?

"At North Valley, part of the problem was due to highway signs, or the lack thereof. For a significant period of time, people received tickets for going 66 or 67 in a 55 mph zone. The problem was that the temporary 55 mph sign was often after the camera. As such, we have had hundreds of hearing requests. Thus far, drivers in this category have almost always been found not responsible at their hearing. "

A Phoenix cop friend of mine told me last week the cameras' days are numbered. Seems too many cops are getting nailed by the cameras too. Cops HATE them. My friends says the cameras will come down the day after the state breaks even on the contract, which is soon.
