I remember getting Lamdo bag @ Legend City when I was a kid. Also, remember them coming to my school in first grade, and putting on a show. Went to the now Ladmo Boys and Girls Club on 5th St in Tempe.

As a kid, I sent in postcards and never had my name drawn... Oddly enough, I'm still searching for an original Ladmo Bag for my collection.

I arrived in the Phx area in 1990...........after the Wallace and Ladmo era.

That stated: people today reminince (sp) about the above. Pat McMahon on KTAR comes to mind.

As a cub scout my troup was given a chance to go. We were watching a live filming and Ladmo went to pass out his bags he walked right up to me and stopped then handed the Ladmo bag to the kid right next to me It was OK I had fun. Gerald was the usual silly bad attitude nerdy charecter you expected him to be. Wallace played the role of a great straight man to Ladmos goofy funny man antics. They were such a great icon to the valley all three of them. I often times feel that Pat McMahon never got enough credit for his roles as Captain Super, Gerald and Grandma. He was diverse and his third man up roles often times got over looked as he was not listed in the show title.

OMG!!!
This is hilarious... I was just thinking about Wallace and Ladmo the other day. I went to Encanto grade school and remember the morning I was watching the show before my bus came. I remember my reaction when they announced they would be at Encanto that day. WHAT A GREAT DAY!!! I didn't get anything as cool as a Ladmo bag, but I'll never forget them coming to my school.
I now live in the Encanto district and drive past Encanto School everyday, that's what made me think of them.
Good to see I'm not alone in this memory

I love wearing my Ladmo and Captain Super tees when Im in town. Every once and a while, some fan of the show will give me a thumbs up or high five, but most of the time now a days, I just get funny looks from people who have no idea who W&L were. They must think I have weird taste in clothes.

Anyone remember "D-Stix"? It was the award presented by Wallace on his TV show to the winners of the contest to draw the new KPHO TV tower atop South Mountain in 1960.

I wrote a letter to Aunt Maude for her to answer on the air about how to get my older brother to stop punching me in the arm. I was crushed that "she" never picked my letter.

Loved Mr. Grungemeyer. Loved all the Pat McMahon characters.

Years later, I went to high school with Wallace's daughter. Many more years later, although he really didn't like doing public appearances by then, she got her dad and Ladmo to make a brief appearance at one of our class reunions-- the 20th, I think. They came up through the crowd to the stage. Brought down the house just to have them come in the room.
