Looks like me and my buddy are trying out a new place in a couple Sundays. We try to go to new restaurants for breakfast, every payday. Thanks

you shouldn't be disapointed - it can get busy though as the place has a very small capacity - you just sign your name to the log outside and wait to be called in - my wife and I usually wait around 30 -40 minutes on weekends and end up just walking around the area a little bit (not like there is much there though)
it's gotten a little bit busier since being featured on food network
worth the wait though - everything is very fresh and well prepared and the bacon is otherworldly

My favorites are Original Pancake House, The Breakfast Club, Chompies, and Cafe Carumba. All four can be found in Scottsdale.

Thanks to all who replied....I've got enough breakfast suggestions for the whole week. We'll be cooking a few nights, but also looking for 'value' meals for dinner at steak or pasta restaurants. Any suggestions?
(I hate to sound cheap, but our Canadian Dollar dropped 20% in the past few weeks, so my dollar is only worth 80 cents US, and puts a crimp in my budget. )

Scottsdale is pretty long from end to end, so you might be as close to places with a PHX or Tempe address as you are to other parts of the Dale.
That said, in Old Town a popular place is The Breakfast Club. A new place is called the Daily Dose is opening a few doors down and is helmed by a local indy restaurant owner. Any yet another place just opened in the Southbridge part of Old Town: Metro Brasserie. It's a New Orleans/French inspired place that'll serve breakfast. Each should offer people watching and there are other shops and such nearby if you want to stroll around and work off the meal.
Pischke's was taken over by a new owner who closed it to change the concept.
