It is sad as I always prefer Krispy Kreme over Dunkin Donuts, but those stores (KK) are so few and far between now. DD seems to be everywhere here where I'm at and it's just not the same. Surely clerks, stale donuts and I'm not a fan of their coffee.

Pleaseeee! Why would an illegal go through all the near-impossible process of obtaining forged documents when they could work with their friend, relative, etc. in landscape business making twice as much and not paying a dime tax?

KK is for washed up musicians and outsourced IT pros.

The once with experience can easily make around $10 and $10 under-the-table is same as someone making $14-$15 and paying taxes. Good ones, are making $12 or more!

If they are smart and can afford an old, beat up truck and couple of used lawnmovers, weed-eaters, etc. and another fellow border-jumper, I imagine they can easily generate $2500 or more net income since they'd have very little overhead.

Do you still wanna sign up? Remember, you won't have access to Internet so you can waste your employer's $$, you'd actually have to work for your $$.

It's called multi-tasking. I answer a call, listen to him complain for 5 minutes and then ask him what the problem is. I am not wasting company money if im doing my job.

As far as making $2500 a month tax free, would be nice. $10/hr @ 5days, tax free, is around 1700, not 2500...

I'd rather do landscaping or clean rooms and make $12-$15
an hour working independently then working for some **** company
that pays $8 an hour.

yeah how did politics get dragged into this? I see lots of conservatives at Starbucks. This reminds me of a story. One time I was in Somerville Square, Mass. (near Harvard and MIT), which is not exactly Rush Limbaugh territory, and decided to get a cup of coffee. They had 3 coffee houses--a Starbucks, and two local places. I decided to try one of the local places just for variety. Two problems--the coffee was more expensive than Starbucks and someone had put a sticker prominently on the cash register with this Satanic-looking Starbucks logo and big letters "F**K STARBUCKS". Now I'm all for competition--heck I was supporting the competition--but I'm not for obscenities thrust in my face like that. Yeah we get that you're the competition, just chill and do a good job and you'll get business.

I think DD coming to Ariz. is a good thing overall and unlike some people apparently, I think employment even at $8/hour is desirable. Anyone who works has my respect. I've worked in restaurants before and it's hard work, not something to look down on. People talk about "MacJobs" as though it's a contemptible thing to work at a MacDonald's or the like. So... it's better to be on food stamps?? That reminds me of yet another story published in the WSJ about 15 years ago. A guy in Washington DC had an idea to employ homeless men in that city. He hired a bunch of them, got them uniforms and shoe shine kits and set them up on street corners doing shoe shining work. It was all good except that a civil rights organization sued him to shut him down. Why? Because of a Jim Crow era law that forbade black men from shining shoes, a law everyone had forgotten about obviously. And their rationale was that there was "more dignity to be on welfare than shining shoes."

whoah I'm way off topic. Time to grind some more starbucks decaf.
