Unhappy "Trick or Treat" NOT "Truco o Trato"

Unfortunately, we had to close our doors to trick or treaters because we had a few large groups of 15+ people, and they weren't people from our neighborhood, and I don't think they knew how to say "Trick or Treat" in English, let alone "Thank you" after digging into the candy. Not to mention they arrived and left in vehicles. Phoenix, Arizona is still in the United States of America, right? Isn't English still the official language? The sad part is, now the kids from our neighborhood won't get any candy either, because even if we kept the door open, we wouldn't have any left after the "visitors" came by.

Ehh; There are ways to get around this. Don't let them dig for candy themselves. Just hand it out!

And; off topic.. But the nation technically has no official language.

[Does remind anybody of the V8 commercials?]

When I lived in Ahwatukee there was a church that bused the kids over to our neighborhood from somewhere or other. The bus parked at the corner and the kids poured out. About 40 kids came to the door in a matter of minutes. Anyhow, chill, they're just kids making memories.

Well perhaps you don't have the same problem that we do here in a border state. And, by the way, it's not discrimination, we had to close the door to everyone, otherwise we would not have candy to hand out anyway.

I know you may find this hard to believe, but illegal immigration IS a serious problem in this country. Things might be a bit different in North Carolina, but here in Arizona, illegal immigration and drug smuggling from Mexico are the root of well beyond the majority of all crime.

I wish you were correct, that they were just kids. Unfortunately, many of them were adults, and some not even in costume. That's not how I remember it as a kid.

Take it to the immigration forum.

And yes, I had this issue in California, with illegals and black kids from the Ghetto...you know what I did? I gave them candy...hopefully it made their day a little better... It is Halloween..they are kids...Chill out or take it to a forum section that shares your hate...

Good grief, the older kids are so rude this year! My 8 yr old niece was handing out candy in the driveway, and they would just walk up to her throw the bag in the her face, no trick or treat or anything, she would give them candy and then they just turn around and walk away, no thank you no nothing.. .makes me want to shut the light off next year.

We had quite a few this evening and I am amazed at how polite all of the kids were! Not been my experience in the past (different city). All in all it was a pleasant Halloween. Sorry some of you didn't have the same experience.... We mostly had little kids so maybe that was why they were so nice.
