We just moved to AZ a few months ago and bought a new house in Queen Creek on the border of Gilbert. Luckily I haven't seen any...but would I really see one that was only 1 1/2" in length?? UGH. Now my question is...what is a black light and how do I get one? Secondly, what is the scorpions meal? When we lived in Utah, I actually had a large black scorpion in my garage. Go figure.

Get a couple of cats and you shouldn't have any problems...they are very effective in keeping the BIG roaches and the scorpions away!

It depends where you live, inner city where the apts spray each month, your own home where you spray each month, or by a mountain where i live where we do not spray and have alot of them outside and now and then inside, we get like 3-7 a month inside. Cat wont go after them, they learn their lesson from one bite. We have huge cockroaches everywhere, and theres no way to get rid of them. They are all over buildings crawling side walks, in stores everywhere.I got bit by a black widow, which are even more around then most critters here. phx is falling apart. and i live in paradise valley too.

). I have an acre of land and the last time I saw a scorpion, my cat was attacking it! Since we have had cats, our problem with the huge roaches went from seeing at least 1 per day to maybe 1 per month if that. You really should get your place checked out and think about a couple of cats. You won't regret it! |

Does it make a difference whether it's an indoor cat or an outdoor cat? We recently got a cat and she has been strictly an indoor cat. Would letting her run around the yard help? I don't want to be one of "those" neighbors who's cat goes into everybody's else's yard and becomes annoying. Thanks.
