You have NO IDEA what a "right wing extremist" is. You OBVIOUSLY must be one of those LEFT WING EXTREMISTS, like our next president.....

We get what we ask for!

Haha, both! If the first sentence or two isn't interesting enough for me I can't continue to read several paragraphs. I like the posts that are short and sweet and make their point right away Besides... I'm not much into all the politics.

Strange huh? I don't go reading posts from other states, why would I have interest in that? I guess maybe if I used to live there I would check back on that state, but Arizona is the only one for me! Go AZ and our 70 degree weather in November!

I don't know what to say to you, your views are so rediculous. I will give you credit for clarifying what you meant. Religion should have little to do with politcs period, but the Bush administration had nothing to do with religion either. Of course all religions, as well as all ethnic groups and cultures should be treated equal unless they are out to hurt my country.

As for your comment about uneducated people voting for McCain, does this mean they voted wrong or are stupid. Since when does being educated make you more intelligent. I think you are the bigot here. By the way, I come from a fairly highly educated family. My dad had a masters degree in engineering and a bach in adminstration, I have a degre, as does my hubby, my kids, my aunt and my siblings, even my grandmother...I just hate to see people equate education with brains...

Uconn99 you were pretty unfair to Magnum Mike. He's allowed to state his opinion and I believe you haven't heard of these facts prior because the liberal media did not report all facts about their beloved Obama. I don't appreciate people stating that only uneducated white people voted for McCain. That is absolutely untrue. I work in the medical profession and I would have to say that at least ninety percent of my co-workers voted for McCain. I will watch Obama with an open mind and I sure hope he proves me wrong.

The Christians are like the Muslims of the Middle East... how? Because they're the majority? Because they execute non-Christians for apostasy? Or chop off the hands of thieves?

In fact, George Bush has been pretty good about separating faith from politics. He never mentions Jesus Christ during speeches. He does support Christian Right causes such as anti-abortion but he hasn't been too militant about it.

I'm no supporter of creationism and anti-abortionism but I do respect the way Bush has chosen to comport himself, with a lot more grace and class than some of the mean little people who put him down in internet forums.

OK thegirlinaz, sorry for the long posts and I'm making this one short and sweet!

Don't fret too much about Obama it will not do any good. And he will not ruling by fiat - no POTUS does.
He is definitely a statist but I would not go so far as to say he is a socialist. Prima fascia economic realities and a temperamental electorate will force compromises on his public policy decisions.
And no post 911 POTUS has the luxury of being dovish - not an option.
As for Israel and the Palestinians - Obama owes AIPAC big time and he knows they are watching him close.
Hi Charles, good to see you here.

Yes, a powerful political machine in Chicago and Hollywood.

I'm not going to stress myself out too much, I just wanted to express my opinion for one day on what's happening to America, and how many voters, who voted for Obama, have failed to see the red flags. Oh well, I guess we'll just wait and see what happens, and we can all agree that Obama does have a very tough job ahead of him.

I mentioned this long before November 4th - I wasn't happy with either party's choice for candidates, and at one point, I thought Bill Clinton would probably be a good candidate for the Democratic party by about now!

Yeah, well in the eyes of many blacks, this was more than just about his policies. To some that seems a little one sided, but to them this is a chance at having equality in America. Not to say that racism will end here....far from it. But, the fact that 5 years ago many people did not think a black president was in our near future, this is a huge milestone for the black community. I can honestly say, If I were black I may have actually done the same.

Another thing, the one person that seemed to have NOT done their homework...McCain and his team.....bad decision to have picked Palin.

I have no idea, but you do raise an interesting point. Perhaps because McCain is from here?? I have no clue. But then I never get why people from other states come in this forum, unless interested in relocating.
