Hello All.

In pursuit of my landing a job here I notice that there are tons of employment recruiters. I'm in the tech industry...specifically technical support. Can anyone who's dealt with a technical recruiter offer any feedback on who's best to use or who to stay away from?

Also post your resume and do your searches on dice.com not monster.

Most if not ALL technical support jobs are handled by recruiters because of the high turn-over rate for these jobs. Beware the the hours and pay are less than desired, thus the high turn-over. The bright side is that these jobs are plentiful out here, because there are many call centers here due to the lack of daylight savings time. ( I was told)

Thank you for your responses. I'm no stranger to Dice.com. I'm on there with a posted resume and cover letter. I'm also on Monster, Careerbuilder, Phoenixjobs.com, Job.com..and a few others. I try to stay on top of the websites daily. I've contacted a couple recruiters that have neglected to contact me but I will try the ones here that were recommended. Thank you.

OP: Do you have any certifications or experience only?

Volt is one. They recruit for 2Wire (DSL modem maker) for tech support and other companies.
They are currently expanding AT&T U-Verse tech support.

I'm all experience, which I modestly say is pretty vast. My issue with schooling or certifications is that I've either been in situations where there wasn't the money or time. I have a family of 5 and to get certified or go back to school right now is impossible and too expensive. Besides..I know more than those certified folks do anyway. Just wish employers realized that sometimes.
