State Prison in Florence
I am interested in what people living in QC area think. Sounds worrisome.

..I live in Gilbert, but my boyfriend's parents live in Florence and we visit them quite often, I never worry about it. Is your worries that someone will escape and attack you or just the fact there is a prison close by?

and besides, look at it this way.....those that aren't in the prison are all around you.
Those in the prison are confined away from you.

I've never lived close to a prison so would like to know the feelings of people who does. |

Wouldn't' be my first choice, to be close (how close is too close??), but look on the bright side - this is Arizona!  If someone comes on your property to do harm, you can shoot them. Just make sure it's when they're coming at you, not running away from you! I'm only being slightly facetious on this. You will get in trouble if an intruder has a bullet from the back. 
Anyway.....I don't hear of too many breakouts from Florence, so you're probably good. |

Well I know that my boyfriend's step-mom that lives there in florence is a prison guard, which I would be guessing that a lot of people that live there are related to working with the prison somehow. Anyways, my two-cents. |

If someone escaped from a prison I would think they would try to get as far away from it as possible, not stay in a nearby city.
