drb85650, Could you please give me a few reasons why Wittmann would be the last place you want to live? Thanks

Wittman is ugly, still on the junky side, a wide spot in the road that everyone passes thru to elsewhere. Even with development it is not a area with any appeal.
Now if saying an area is the last place I'd move to is "idiotic", then better to be called a name than to live in Wittman.
How about markas214 giving the positives of Wittman instead of just posting insults?

The point of the thread was to seek advice. Specific questions were asked. "Can anyone tell me things about the Wittmann area?
Schools ,Housing, General attitude of anyone living there currently,
Shopping and grocery stores,etc.?".

I've never been there so I opened this thread hoping to find useful information. I like te openness and the prices of large prperties with nice homes is appealing. Schools being very important to me I was hoping for experienced insight. Your reply was not helpful at all. If you had nothing to offer in the way of specifics why bother to reply? Wittmann may well be a giant cesspool or maybe not but saying it's the last place you want to live is meaningless in the context of discussion. Hence my opinion of your reply being idiotic. No offense.

I will respond and ask where in Wittman? in the main section or out off Patton Road or up towards circle city?
North of the tracks or South?
There is a lot of surrounding areas with a Wittman address. The City of Buckeye has even annexed way up there as has City of Surprise is close.

The area I'm seeing the houses that look interesting are northwest of Surprise out Grand Ave. I can get a nice relocation and bonus package if I take a position at Dale Webb Memorial Hospital. We like the Surprise Farms development but the lots were very small. Schools are the most important issue so maybe Vistancia would be a better choice.

I am just a bit upset with the street planning there. Here is why. Sun Valley Parkway would be the ultimate shortcut for me to see my sister in Kingman. But Street panners in Wittman do not have a good road linking Sun Valley Parkway to the 60 in Wittman. I have to travel the 303 to go to my sisters which adds miles and time into the trip. If the SVP connected into Wittman this effort would be spared. Being a Buckeye resident I do not get much use of the SVP at all because it does not not offer anything until you get to Bell road. Now all that could change if they added a nice Wittman turn off. As of now you could toss a pebble into Wittman from the SVP but they do not link up on any good paved road? Whos hair brained idea was that?

There is a road but it is or was dirt and only connects into Patton Road.
Your best bet is out I10 to mp 103 Rip Griffiths truck stop. take a right head North to Indian School rd. go left to Wikenburg rd/355th ave go right and cross the cap canal circle around flat iron mountain and then this connects to Vulture Mine Road. Take it North as far as you can and it connects to Hwy 93 at the new mini mart and stop light.
It is all paved and is what I use at times to get into the west side Phx.
