Silverslane is on a distinguished road
Default "Heart Attack Grill" is part of a trend . . .

Haven't heard of the place, but the other night on ABC's Nightline there was a report on the new trend in eateries like Hooters that is beating the economic slowdown: the segment of the industry is called "breasturants" - food is cheap but generally good "comfort" food (burgers, wings, etc.) , and the atmosphere appeals to 30-50 year-old males who want to act like frat-boys again.

I have eaten there. The food wasn't good. I really thought lard cooked burgers and fries would taste better even though I knew they were unhealthier and truth be told, I didn't notice any difference in taste. I thought the burgers were nothing special and the french fries are steak fries. The only difference I noticed is that I was extremely full after eating a single patty burger and some fries. I didn't even have a desire to eat dinner because I was so full from that burger and I didn't even finish the entire burger. I really wanted to like the place and my Mom wanted to eat there too when she heard about the place.

Regarding the atmoshphere, like another person responded, it just felt like extra skanky version of Hooters. I didn't find the women to be attractive at all and nothing remotely resembling the attractive waitresses at Hooters. If I just want to stare at women and eat burgers, I will just go to Hooters. I'm not a big fan of Hooters either and I don't think their is food is particularly good, but if given the choice between these two, I would rather go to Hooters because the women are more attractive and the food tastes better.

It's just a cheesy gimic. They have waitresses dressed up in Halloween risque nurse outfits. The place was kind of dirty and there was so much grease in the air that the floor was slippery and had condensed grease on it. They also don't accept credit cards and the a burger, fries and a beer was 14 dollars with tax. It's not really a restaurant and more like Fudruckers in that you get your own fries and toppings on your burger. I wouldn't go there again by any means nor would I recommend it. I actually think the burgers are In and Out and Wendys taste much better. If you want to take your mome to a decent burger joint, just take her to Red Robin, Johnny Rockets in Fiesta Mall or Az Mills or even Ruby's diner in Chandler mall.

the french fries are shoestrings - at least that is what was served when I was there recently ...... which I tend to prefer over steak fries

My mistake it is shoestring fries. Nonetheless, I was still unimpressed with the food. It's gimic didn't bother me and I have no problem with the lard but I didn't think the food tasted good at all regardless if lard was used. The burger was pretty tasteless and it tasted like someone just got a bunch of really cheap ground beef and just threw it on a grill coated in lard. And yes, I remember fast food in the 1980's and earlier was really good particularly McDonalds when everything was fried in lard before the cholesterol warnings were published.

My sentiments exactly, Sco!

A cheap imitation of Hooters with mediocre food at inflated prices.

I've eaten there when it was at 44th and Thomas. I loved the food. Had double bypass a couple of times. Some of the waitresses are hot! One lil waitress has such a cute personality and is a great sport. Warning: You have to be vegan for one month after the visit to clean out your system of fats.

If this is your kind of place, wait until Bone Daddy's hits Phoenix. They have a couple of locations here in the Dallas area and per the FAQ on their web page plan to open in Phoenix.

Their BBQ is surprisingly very good and have one of the best looking waitstaff I've ever seen.

I ate there too, it sucked.

We went twice. The first time...THEY WERE OUT OF HAMBURGER...wtf.

We should have realized after that experience, but we didn't. My wife and I returned. She's a good sport about breastaurants

The second time, the burger was flavorless, and the nurses were skanky, not young and appealing like on the website. It was a huge disappointment.

We went looking for a fun atmosphere and great tasting food with health drawbacks. All we got was the health drawbacks...and sore eyes.
