I think that you will be happy in both Surprise or Peoria. I like them both. As far as not having amenities in Surprise it has never been a problem for us.

I live in Surprise and yeah you dont want to enter Walmart alone.Trust me you really dont.You dont want to enter rancho gabriela district alone eihter i live here it is dangerous.

I goto the walmart of bell and grand at least 1 time per week for the past 2 years and i have never had any problems there.

I have even been the the walmart in el mirage and never had any problems there.

And i go there at random times even 3am in the morning,never a problem that would ever make me think it was dangerous.

I used to own in Rancho Gabriela (Cactus and Bullard). Sold the house in 2006. What has happened since then? I loved the area but my wife wanted to move closer into the city.
