Not yet, but ALMOST this morning - house is pretty well insulated for most nights hasnt been getting below 70. But, as the days shorten and lose a degree or two of heat each day, the nighttime has been cooling off. This morning woke up to 68 and instead of heating to 74-75 inside during the day as it has been, today I ll be surpised to see 73. Once it gets to 65 might have to crank on the heat for a little bit in the mornings! Hope it works?! New house and I havent used it at all since testing when I bought the place!

It's cold in my house when I wake up - maybe 65 or so. But I love it cold, so I haven't even thought about turning on the heat. God bless block construction.

Our house is well insulated and we don't expect to turn on the heat for another 2 weeks or so. The weather is perfect right now, no air no heat needed.

I still have the A/C on, to be honest with you.

I did turn on the fireplace a few times recently, but no heat yet.

no way. its perfect right now. the coldest i have seen my house has been 70. since its new construction i'll probably fire it up one day to make sure it works, and that will be the only use it sees while i live here.

I grew up in a barely insulated little house that was originally someones summer cabin built around 1900 in the poconos. that house used to be in the 50's at night and never over 65 during the day. i think i can handle this lows in the 40's!

Hubby has been turning it on at night a little while before he goes to bed. He's asleep pretty quickly and then I shut it off. Then he turns it on in the morning when he gets up and I wait until he's almost ready to leave for work and shut it off again. I don't get it....of course I lived in Boston for 30 years so I can relate to putting on extra clothes...never could get warm enough there though no matter how many layers I put on.

On the opposite end of the spectrum...in the summer he cranks the AC down to 76 or so and I follow behind and put it back up to 79 or 80. Maybe it has something to do with him being born here in Phoenix.

LOL, that is the dilemma I have as well. I run the AC early in the night to get down to my sleeping temp of 71. But this time of the year, it cools beyond that overnight and I need to run the heat in the morning to get to my waking temp of the mid 70s. I can't sit on patio at 5am with my coffee anymore to take the chill away. This place is hell on earth!
