im a white dude who lived on the west side of chicago and lived in the south bronx i was the only white dude in my neighborhoods. i want to move somewhere warm i was thinking florida texas or phoenix and i read about all this about maryvale and it cant be that bad right?

It depends on your view of things.

And hopefully I post this before the doomsday posters chime in.

Maryvale is NOT outright dangerous.
It's working class - People just living from day to day.

It PALES in comparison to the worst parts of Chicago and New York.

All people need to do is use common sense. (Which is seems a LOT of people don't have.)

why live there though? - it's not like there is a lack of affordable housing in this city

you may not get shot, but there is a decent chance of property crime, uncomfortable situations and lack of nice convenience in your neighborhood

I can't believe the home prices in some really nice areas.

I have lived in Maryvale for 3 yrs I am a white guy also I hear about everyone talking how bad it is . I have never had a problems PERIOD its quiet by 7pm never hear any gunfire and have never had any property crimes theft or damages. There is not a lot of white people on my street mostly hispanic . I know my area maybe better than some so I base my facts on my area .
