Mesa help please (HOA, crime, house)

We are looking at a house in an hoa called "lindsay crossing". This is located close to the corner of lindsay and broadway. It is a gated hoa. Can anyone tell me if they have been here or if this is a good part of town? will the gated area help me out if this is a bad area? please help me if possible as I need to give the thumbs up on this house, if its good. Thanks

Lindsay & Broadway is not a bad area. However, you should know that Mesa City is having big financial problems which means they are cutting way back on services - libraries, parks and rec etc... Also, Mesa Public Schools are struggling financially. They have removed librarians from schools and moved them to teaching in classrooms, etc... Keep in mind if you have children.

A gated community is not a safety guarantee. Crimes occur in gated communities the same as any other community. The gates are privacy gates that reduce the traffic on the private streets owned by the association.

I recommed that you discuss the area with your realtor, and also check out the crime statistics on the City of Mesa web site. You can find out what type of crimes are committeed in areas all across the city on the web site.

Take a drive around the surrounding area and then pick another area.
