Yeah, sounds like a flaw, but flaws can be fixed.

The dude in the pick-up shares some of the blame too---------
he should have seen the other train coming. It's not that hard to look both ways.

Then again I have seen pick-up truck drivers do some of the dumbest things in traffic around here.

^ To be fair it may not have been easy to see the other train because of the train that just passed.

Haha, I just read an article saying they want to raise the price! How much is the light rail?

Currently $1.25 one way and $2.50 for an all-day pass. Those rates are low compared to most other cities. The fare hike, if enacted, would put us around the national average for transit fares.

And: if/when gas prices exceed $3 a gallon again; methinks that Light Rail ridership will jump dramatically----------at even double the ticket cost.

If riders were to increase can more cars be added on like on a real train? Or will people have to squeeze into available space?

The typical train is 2 cars. They can run in 1- 2- and 3-car configurations.

They can increase the number of trains running so there is less of a wait if one train is too crowded.

I'd take the train if i could ride a bike from the station to the office, but the 153 has no sidewalk.

Unfortunately, blinded by all the exuberance, there is a lack of security at the stations or in the train. 50 year old guy got assaulted at 44th and Washington...

Man assaulted at Phoenix light-rail station

Is this going to be a trend? Will violence kill the Phoenix light rail's popularity?
