Plin is on a distinguished road
I'm volunteering this afternoon, and the training session got me even more excited about the rail. I can't wait to see it up and running regularly (as in, carrying passengers and everything).

Check this out...it's live coverage from inside the trains and at the stations...

LIVE: On the light rail lines

I love the automated voice announcements, they sound awesome. There are a ton of people out, especially at the end of the line station in Mesa. The line looks to be hundreds of people deep.

It was impossible to get on, (esp. if you're borderline claustophobic). I saw people pushing, shoving and stepping on others -forget it. My mother, brother and kids could only handle it for a couple of blocks. If you're gonna be at one of these events, try to be polite, if not, at least just civilized to others. People can be so rude!

Once again Steve-o sticks his nose into something that is not his business.

We welcome the light rail. Phoenix and the surrounding areas are "young" by city standards, hence one of the reasons we are now seeing the rail.

OBTW - Subways are not possible in the valley - so it will not happen

Oh boy...
Yeah... I remember seeing a movie filmed in New York where a little kid (who thought he had killed his older brother) jumped on a subway train and rode out to Coney Island, NY, to hide. That movie was dated 1953!

Now what was the name of that movie... (?) ...

Oh, yeah! Little Fugitive!

To New Years Eve - it is FREE

Regular fares are $1.25 per ride (regardless of destination) or $2.50 for an all day pass
