There must be some kind of government program to help him, why not try calling one of the distress lines and see if they have any advice as they are usually well versed on what's available.

I do not mean to sound like I have no empathy for his situation, I'm just just being relaistic. 'Trying not to drink' and drinking are pretty much the same thing in my books, either you are drinking or you're not. Some serious alchoholcs cannot quit cold turkey on their own, they need medical supervision as there can be dangers involved fot the heavily addicted.

Good luck to him.

Actually he is a homeless alcoholic. Read below. The type of person who needs to donate plasma is usually a substance abuser or some other type of distressed individual. It was a pretty intuitive assumption.

The problem is that he is on unemployment and technically earns 100$ too much to qualify for AHCCCS. In reality, there is taxes and child support taken out of that money. He gets $376

He is willing to work hard and try hard. Does anybody know of a program that might be able to help him?

Thanks
