Default Direct Buy Warehouse

Hi everyone....

Has anyone ever been a member at Direct Buy? I see their commercials all the time and wonder if the prices and quality of products are really what they claim to be. Any info....good/bad would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I have friends that did, It is $5000 to join. The furniture is expensive and unless you are going to buy alot of furniture, you would do much better on Craig's List.

If you are doing a whole house remodel it might be worth it. Friend of mind joined and he has advised to check prices because they are not always the lowest around. They never stock anything you need always has to be ordered up and then you wait for it to arrive. Like here in Kingman he has to go to Las Vegas and pick it up when it shows up at there location.

It's not a new idea....paying for the priviledge of buying stuff. Appealing to the need many have to be "exclusive", like buying the Escalade instead of the Chevy version. Sister in law paid 6grand for her Direct Buy membership and yeah, has to travel over 100 miles to the place. All this to furnish less than 3000sq.ft.

DIRECT BUY CUSTOMERS SPEAK OUT!

I went to the store in Austin - once. After 5 minutes of high pressure ploys I walked out and put them on my "Do Not Call" list. I consider them a Grade A ripoff.

Very interesting, car957!

Are you implying another . . . IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE . . . scenario?

Costco, Costco Home, and dare I say it, IKEA?

There are options for getting good deals without paying thousands of dollars up front.

Bear's Mom will become famous soon enoughBear's Mom will become famous soon enough
I dragged my husband to one of their invitational gatherings............ can we say HIGH PRESSURE??
When we got home - I spent a couple of hours on the web.(should have done that before I wasted our time) there seems to be hundreds of unhappy people who did sign up............."CAUTION * CAUTION!!! Do your own research...I doubt that you will be giving them any of your hard earned $$$.
We are getting our house ready to put on the market _if/when it cmes back- & plan to build a retirement home - so this seemed like a terrific idea-but the old saying - IF it seems too good to be true............certainly applies here.................. good luck!
