I think N. Scottsdale would be a great choice. We are going out there May, 12 to check out the market in the 85262 and 85255 Zips. I will make sure I comment on my experiences when I get back. I will be there for a week with my family doing some serious looking.

But they are looking to buy a house for $300k range and a place were traffic is good to Thomas Rd in Phoenix Lol...

In Scottsdale, especially north, be lucky to find a run down condo for $300k..

Again, if I were you, I would go to N. Phoenix. I regret that I did move my kids to North Scottsdale. Now they are stuck in the school sys. And there is no way I would purchase run down condos here;(

Just wanted to save you some b...s... and a lot of money. Know you are in the income range for the condos. But definetly not the houses.

You could buy a nice house in a nice neighborhood in North Phoenix. Don't jump the gun and go somewhere where its overpriced and outragious like California...Sorry "nevercoldcall."

No, this is not allowed. Unfortunately, we don't have moderators serving 24/7 here. The best way is to click this icon next to a bad post. It will get you a moderator attention ASAP.

The SUSD is great. Many schools for each area. Scottsdale is a very well minded area also.

I agree. I like the school systems in Scottsdale. I back them 150%. Unfortunetly, I wish the mayor would also. They are struggling with enrollment due to the fact the city is eliminating affordable housing and replacing all apartments to high end luxury condos. So many residents were forced to move out.

Gee, I wonder why people are so negative about the city including the teachers who cannot afford to live within the city.

Wow even Phoenix magazine did an article on the pros and cons of Valley cities and pointed out that Scottsdale residents are notorious for their rudeness and nasty driving. And people still want to move there. Amazing. It's really the most unfriendly place I've ever been.

From what I remember, Scottsdale had fairly wide-roads, clearly marked signs, fairly average speed.. although I did notice that many people didn't come to complete stops at stop signs or use their blinkers! Which was at-times annoying.

True - Scottsdale has the worst drivers you will ever experience in your life. The best thing about my recent move to Newport Beach is being around people who know how to drive. They actually go when the light turns green!!

I read about some medical studies showing that just the tiniest bit of dehydration seriously retards brainpower, so I guess that would explain the way people drive in the desert .... lol .... and everything else about how people in Scottsdale behave.

Which ironcially enough is called a "california stop".
