Default An excellent read

I posted this here because many Arizonans I have talked to want Detroit to die. Many have bought in to the media hype that the metro Detroit area has nothing to offer. Take a minute to read it and learn about the REAL Detroit and the good people who helped build this country.

Baloney! I have never once heard anyone from Arizona or any other place I have lived say that they would like for Detroit to die.

I rarely hear anyone say anything at all about Detroit. If you want to make Detroit into a great city, more power to you. It is not my top priority, but that is just me.

I guess you don't read many of the blogs on AZ Central. Many there have said exactly that.

I think AZ Central is read by a select few, and certainly not myself. I give little credence to the opinions expressed in their comments.

I'd love to see Detroit rise up and become a new kind of city, much as I'd like to see Phoenix rise up and become a modern, urban city. I've read far more opposition to the idea of an urbanized Phoenix than a successful Detroit.

Frankly, the anti-urban Phoenix people are in their rights to have their opinions about the kind of city they want to live in (as I am in my rights to want a more grand and appropriate style of metropolis in the desert), but I just don't know that many people in Phoenix that care about Detroit one way or the other.
