Red face Phoenix move?

Hello everyone, I'm considering a move to Phoenix after I graduate. I have my under grad in secondary education (social studies) and will have a masters in Urban Planning. Can you tell me how easily it will be for me to get a job doing either of the two (teaching, urban planning) I know the Phoenix area is one of the fastest growing cities in the US so I'm sure there are jobs available, just how many? Also how is the pay there compared to the cost of living? Also where is a nice area to live in on a teacher or urban planners pay. How gay friendly is Phoenix also? If anyone could help me out with this I would be very thankful

you should post this on the "Phoenix" page, you will get more responses. I honestly don't know about the demand for people in either of those jobs. As for gay friendly, I think Phoenix is very gay friendly. I have a few gay friends and they have never given me any reason to think otherwise. I think the central corridor is probably the most " gay friendly" area. You might have a harder time out in the burbs, everyone out there wants the Brady Bunch lifesyle and ... well a gay couple isn't usually the suburbanites vision of the perfect neighbor if you know what I mean. My guess on the jobs is that it would be easy find a job in either. Phoenix is one of the fastest growing cities in the U.S. and with growth we are going to need more urban planners. With more growth we need more teachers. Just my opinion, not based on facts. Good luck

From my experiences in PHX it also seems to be pretty gay friendly. I've also heard that the "neighborhood" is in the central area as well. IMO, People seem to be laid back in PHX and don't really care how you live your life.
