We(2adults+1child) will be relocating to the PHX area from Michigan at the end of June. My question is, what is the best route to take driving an SUV while towing a compact car on a dolly, and wanting to see the St Louis Arch, among other things? Any help is appreciated.

I'm moving from the Detroit area around the first of May and I'm going to take the way that mapquest suggested, which is west through Chicago, south through St. Louis, then SW through Tulsa until you get on I-40 and driving that almost 900 miles west into Phoenix. I dunno if this helps.

My advice is avoid Chcago at all costs due to traffic. Drop south as soon as you can and then west to St. Louis. Watch signs carefully in St Louis for 44 interchange and then onto 40 in Ok City. 40 to 17 in Flagstaff and then 100 miles south.
