Well - there is an example of a racist statement - and certainly a great example of stereotyping a group of people -

Racist?
It's not exactly stereotyping when it's true either, most illegals do not pay taxes, and do not have insurance, thus giving more money.
I think it's funny how you follow me around in every post and make your dumb little remarks about everything, you're worse than a troll.

I suspect the original poster may not return and may be absolutely horrified at how their request deteriorated into a discussion of everyone's views on racism in America. Granted, I think the original post may have been a little baiting with its "white area" comment, but then again, folks typically want to live near folks like them, so that may not have been their intent. We have had plenty of <insert race/ethnicity here> posts on this board looking for "like communities" or "members of the opposite sex of my race/ethnicity" and I don't recall them getting as bashed as someone coming on here looking for Mayberry, Arizona....
Perhaps we should return the post to the original direction and let the poster know of good and bad areas of town. I believe CityData has data on racial makeup, give the poster zip codes and they can research the makeup and make their own decision. The 2 zips I suggest in my post are mainly 85054 and 85254. The norther parts by Desert Ridge may be 85050. Here is a map of zips:

I can't remember where the link to the map of Phoenix "neighborhoods" is. Ie the one that shows where places like Maryvale and Ahwatukee are? Maybe someone else has that link?
From what I have heard, Maryvale is a carpy area of town regardless what color/race/planet you are from.

It is obvious your post was racist and bigoted.
This thread is in the "Phoenix" area - where I post REGULARLY. I saw your obviously racist post and commented on it.

How is it obvious? I was speaking the truth, most illegals do not bother with paying taxes, why would they? If you had a job, and lived here illegally, you would take what you could get, and in the case of many landscapers, it's enough to rent a house, and if they were lucky, even get a mortgage, you would be surprised how many illegals have mortgages.
Most of your posts are never relevant to the topic, you go around trying to instigate fights, and honestly I think you are just a depressed old man who has nothing better to do than make friends on the internet.

The OP here, thanks for the info. My salary potential will only provide for a 150K mortgage so many parts ofthe Phoenix areas that were described are clearly out of my range. Chandlers seems like it might be a good choice formy demographic and social preferences. Mesa does not. I don't mind some Hispanics in the neighborhood, butI also want to feel normal by having a relatively strong presence of white people, too. Does this place exist in Phoenix based on my housing affordibility? I will probably have to consider a condo instead of a house. As suggested, I will check out demographicsper zip code on City-Data.Moderator cut: link removed, linking to competitors sites is not allowed

150K puts you right on the edge. Most "good" neighborhoods are more than that. All the bad ones are less. Your salvation is that because of the crash, there are some deals still to be had. BTW, there are many "nice" places in Mesa. Mesa is a huge city of its own. Don't cross it off the list because the old parts are rundown.
