Some of the old homes with the bright colors are beautiful!!

What's the name of that pizza restuarant? I hear it's good and ther's always a line. I've been wanting to go but I can't think of the name!

Pizzeria Bianco. Great pizza! My favorite is the Wiseguy with smoked mozzarella and fennel sausage, but I like the Rosa too.

The wait isn't so bad if you can put your name in, and then snag a couple of seats at Bar Bianco next door and enjoy wine and apps to while away the hours before they come and get you.

I like the pictures! Good job! You took the pictures of the houses near downtown right?

Great pictures as always, HX.

@azms, a lot of those photos appear to be taken in Midtown (the Qwest Building is a dead giveaway). Going north on Central between downtown and Bethany Home will show you probably some of the densest forms of urbanity of anywhere in Phoenix. I work in Midtown (Park Central) and avoid main roads by using side streets and am amazed at what you find off the beaten path.

As a 17 year resident of Phoenix, I tend to forget the architectural diversity, culture, and visual interest that is here. Thank you very much for reminding me to look around and appreciate what is here. I have had a similar idea of taking similar style pics of the old flour mill in Tempe. I am motivated to actually do it before its gone.

I do have a few faves, and am curious about one pic in particular- the one that says Juan Valencia- Cement worker. Where did you take that?

Great pictures and it expresses well what I keep trying to say about Phoenix. Its not the cookie cutter subdivsions on the fringes of the Valley - not at all.

Josh - knock it off. If you don't like the photos - don't visit this thread! You are in no position to be a critic!

TO THE ORIGINAL POSTER: Thanks for the memories. Some of those photos go back to the days of the box camera!

Keep them coming
