Default Homes in Arroyo Grande, Anthem/New River

HI,

We are considering purchasing a newer home in Anthem/New River Arroyo Grande--anyone have any feedback for us about the area--no anyone who is part of that ocmmuntiy and feelings about it, etc.

--Some also may feel to far away from points of interest-happenings.

The Home Owner Assoc. fees are a bit confusing--I am hearing there are 2 different ones to check into. This will be a winter home, so we need to be sure it all makes sense in terms of fees on top of taxes and all that.

--Any feedback welcome,
Sharon

There is an Anthem HOA forum. That may be helpful. Try a Google search or PM me and I'll try to find a link for you. I've considered bot and I would only need to commute three or four days a week but both areas are out there. It's easy to find a cheap rental in either area. That will be what I do. I'm also considering Vistancia, Estrella Mountain Ranch and Verrado. Arrowhead is closer and also high on the list as is north Scottsdale which offers the least bang for the buck.

I don't get Arroyo Grand being so stuck in the middle of nowhere. People complain Anthem is far out, in AG you are even far out from Anthem. Going anywhere including to the fine Anthem amenities (which is what Anthem is all about), groceries etc requires getting on the interstate and driving.

Anthem has the convenience of The Anthem Outlet Mall, movies, groceries etc within a 5 minute drive. Since my wife won't drive on highways that is a big plus. My commute would be 45 minutes from there. Not bad three days a week. Decisions, decisions.
