Default Spring Training

Thinking of visiting for Spring Training, but I dont have a favorite team in Cactus League. Where is a good area to stay so I can see the most games over a week. Any stadiums must sees over the others? Hoping to get a place at under $80/night.

Unless you really want to see the cubs play (hard to get tix), then you want to be over in Glendale/Surprise/Peoria. Most of the newer parks are over there and its only 15-20 mins in any direction to get to several.

P S - Cubs play in Mesa which is on other side of town is why I say that.

definitely stay by either arrowhead or westgate in the glendale/peoria area - you'll have access to the most stadiums & teams (goodyear - indians, surprise - KC & Tex, peoria - seattle & SD, maryvale - brewers and glendale - dodgers) ...... not sure when the white sox will join the dodgers in glendale

I can't comment on the parks in goodyear & glendale as they aren't open yet

I've seen games in most of the parks in the phoenix area, aside from scottsdale & phoenix muni

I think the nicest park is surprise - beautiful grounds, free parking

Best Value - maryvale - although the neighborhood is not the greatest, the park is fairly nice, you can always get good tickets, they run a bit cheaper than other stadiums, brewers fans are great with tailgating, singing roll out the barrell, sausage races and bob eucher in the press box

overated - hohokam - really not that nice of a park - unless you are a cubs fan, skip it
