Gas in houses???
I run a quick search in the forums, and I want to double check. Do most houses use gas or electric?

Depends on the area you are interested in.
Newer areas, in SW Gas territories usually have both.
Natural gas however is not available everywhere

Thanks, I don't like gas at all, the smell, or anything about it. I want all electric.

What smell? I used to have a gas stove, I never smelled anything.
Most places in AZ have electric, unless the house is older.

New Homes in areas served by SWG more often than not have Natural Gas - if for nothing else but fireplaces (wood burning is not only discouraged but may be prohibited).
Gas is quite common in older and NEW homes today

I have been in homes that use gas, and I can smell it. Maybe it's something with my nose. Since I'll most likely not use a fireplace in Phoenix, maybe I should not worry about it.
I just don't want gas.

I have to agree with the other poster. Gas has no odor when being used correctly. There is a smell if there is a leak.
But, if you don't want natural gas, don't worry. You will have lots of choices of homes that are all electric.
As an aside - LOTS of us here in the valley use Fireplaces. When the temps are in the 30's, snuggling up by the FP is pretty darn nice!
