Never been to Ararat's - will need to check it out

I believe the indian restaurant will be off of mcdowell & litchfield - read about it in the west valley view I believe

thai orchid just opened up and it's really good. Only downside is that service can be hit or miss (and the owner is kind of creepy-ish) - food is first rate though and very reasonable

appetites is a KC style BBQ place right next to it that is pretty good - these are off indian school, just east of dysart road

over by the LA fitness (near walmart off dysart) is the cajun place - it changed hands about 2 months ago - previous owner had the best catfish, redsnapper & shrimp (he'd either fry or grill) ...... new ownership was pretty good, catfish wasn't as good, but they had crawfish tails that were excellently seasoned - focus seems to be more on the fried

dino's greek & bistro benard are both off Indian School east of pebble creek - haven't been to bistro benard since they changed chefs a couple months ago (benard left), but it was good

probably my favorite place for wings is buffalo wing & rings - thick fresh wings, but crispy skins - some good traditional sauces and the hot garlic parmesan is awesome as well - they also have some greek inspired dishes (gyro quesadilla and greek salad are both good) - it's technically a chain, but very good (as an upstate NY native i'm fussy about wings)

in the general goodyear area there is thai, bbq, soul food, cajun, greek, french, pizza & wings, chains, chinese, etc ....... they're building an indian restaurant as well

Red Lobster is just opening up at West McDowell Rd @ Estrella Parkway by the new Olive Garden.

I can say I still consider my home purchase in Goodyear a great one. Ive lived in my home about 15 years now. I know people in Avondale and Goodyear neighborhoods. Some say north of I-10 (frwy) is best but not in all cases. A friend has just purchased a home rather cheap for about $130k new, in Buckeye and is about 1550 sqft. I still believe the housing prices are not bad. Buy as much as you can but dont go overboard.

Being that I have lived in my home so long, lots of restaurants in comparison to when I first bought back in the mid 90s.
