Random DMV law related question...
If a person has a suspended license in Az and they move to WY... when they go to the DMV in WY will their license still be suspended in that state?
Do driving records follow you?

Generally speaking, no. A suspension is only effective in one particular state - sometimes neighboring states share info, but definitely not AZ and WY

This is completely wrong. Federal law requires all states to check the NDR (National Driver Registry) before issuing a license. In addition, AZ and WY are both members of the Drivers License Compact and share ticket info. If you have violations and suspensions they follow you EVERYWHERE.

Dang - go figure! I stand corrected.
I run into people all day with licenses from other states, who are using them here because the AZ one is suspended. Lol.
Guess the gubmint has its act together now.... could have fooled me!

I agree, Ponderosa . . .
Possibly ji603's theory applied a few decades ago but not anymore.
