I am looking forward to bringing my family to the parade on Saturday morning.

This is my first year to the parade and I'm not too familiar w/ downtown Phoenix. I'm coming in from the west side on the 10. Any tips on where to park? I'm anticipating a lot of traffic when I get close. I'm just hoping I can find parking on the street or in a nearby lot. The route is Central Avenue going south from Thomas to the 10.

Also has anyone been to the Auld Dubliner which just opened on Northern near the 101?

Thanks much,
Dennis

I'd drive up I-17 to Camelback, exit there, and park at the 19th Ave / Camelback park-and-ride (SE corner). From there, I'd take the light rail down to Encanto or McDowell, watch the parade, and enjoy the festival at Hance Park. The park-and-rides have abundant spaces available with no meters, resident-only permits, or similar inconveniences. When it's all over, you can take the train back up to the park-and-ride and then head out out to the Auld Dubliner.
