Default Staying for ~1 month?

I come out to AZ a lot for work and usually for a short period. I think I need to initiate a much longer stay of 1 month or more. Can anyone suggest a "nice" place to stay for a period of a month or so? Would any apartment complexes give me a 1 month rent ? For work we are near metro center. I know this is not a nice area... I don't mind being 20 minutes away but prefer not 40+.

I second vrbo.com. I heard people have had good luck with them.
