Default Family Home Rental

We are hoping to head down to try living Phoenix for a year and was wondering if anyone knows of any rental agenices in the area or knows if any home builders or currently renting out spec homes? We would be looking at about $3000,00 a month. We like the Desert Ridge area but are open to other areas as well. Thanks in Advance.

I don't really know any rental agencies, but I know of one, possibly 2 people that have a house they are putting up for rent. The one I know of for sure is 4 bedrooms and 2.5 baths 2700sf with 2 car garage. It is located in Peoria at 83rd Ave and Olive Rd. Rent is about $1500 a month. Let me know if you are interested and I'll get you in touch with the guy. The Other House that is a Maybe, is about 2,500sf 3bd 2 bath in Fountain Hills, closer to $2,000 a month.

Quite a few of the real estate firms also deal in rentals. You might call say, Century 21 in an area that you are interested in and see what they have available. We live in N. Peoria in Vistancia and have tons of rental signs around the different communities. This is a very nice place to camp while you are looking around. Most of the rents for the 3-4 bed, 2 bath homes are around $1,100 to $1,200 per month. There is a newer elementary school here on site and a second elementary school being constructed in the northern/newer part of Vistancia. We also have a Safeway store at the entrance to the development along with dentists, wine tasting rooms, a restaurant across the street at the golf course. On the four corners 4 miles down the main road we have a super Target center, Lowes, Home Depot with a Chili's, Paradise Bakery, Pier One and all the other stores/veterinarians dentists you could ask for. We have a new hospital coming soon. Best of luck.

Take a look on Craigslist to get an overall idea of what various types of houses are renting for in various areas. If commuting to downtown Phoenix is not important to you, try also looking on the outskirts of town for the best deals. For example, I know that in Maricopa City, you can rent a 2500+ sq ft house with a pool for around $800 per month. However, places like Maricopa City that are fairly far out from everywhere else might not yet have all of the amenities available that you are used to.

Try Barrett-Eastman. I think their website is BEHomes.com.

Just don't rent anything the Golba Group unless you don't mind moving into a dirty house and just handing your deposit over to them to keep. They will give you a dirty house and they expect you to clean the house when you leave which we did and out of 1300.00 deposit we got back 18.00. I felt like suing them but didn't have the energy but beware of those ripoffs. That is the only company we ever had a problem with.
