Looking for volunteer work.
So here's the deal.
I'm looking to do some volunteer work. Ideally, I'd like to be a companion to the elderly - Giving them company, assisting them around their homes, helping them with shopping.. etc.
I have no medical training, and have NO certifications whatsoever.
So where do I start looking for these types of opportunities?

If you can deal with death issues, any hospice would be glad to have you volunteer. Also, any hospital or care facility would be an option too. Meals on Wheels programs need help too. Call any of the community centers that cater to senior citizens as well, they will have info for you. If you are a volunteer you don't need any certification or experience. They will train you.
