Has anyone been able to take advantage of the Obama plan for refianancing their house? I have called a couple of mortgage companies recently, nobody seems to know much or be that interested.

I just talked to my Real Estate agent she said to try: HOPE NOW - Support and Guidance for Homeowners

Is your mortgage backed by the government? (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA) If not then your refinance choices will be slim especially if you are upside down by a lot. Here is a toll free phone # to call to ask questions and the website to be referred to people who may be able to help:
