Default Possible relocation from Tx to the Pheonix area

My husband and I will possibly be relocated to the Pheonix are this summer. My question is where should a family with 2 children(ages 8 and 4) focus on for their house hunt? I am mostly interested in great schools and low crime. My husband will need to be within an hour and a half of the airport. I will be selling residental real estate. We will probably rent for the first year. I am looking to spend around 1200-1400 a month in rent. Any helpful info. would be greatly appreciated!

Well, there are dozens of areas for a family to live. I would suggest reading through the hundreds of threads on here and do the research. Good luck selling real estate where there are something like 60,000 agents and nothing selling.

Gilbert. Gilbert has one of the best-- if not the best-- school district in the state. Gilbert has also been rated the safest city in Arizona. Gilbert would be about 25-30 miles from the airport, depending on where you were. You can rent a 4 bedroom house for around 1300-1350/ mo. If you know about real estate, you probably know that the market is down all over the valley. However, Gilbert is one of the fastest growing areas in the country, so if you are going to do real estate in Arizona, it's probably one of the best places to do it.

My husband, myself, and our two children moved here several months ago. I'm happy with our decision, especially after looking at the neighboring areas. They just don't compare, in my opinion. There are homes in my area for rent and I have done a lot of research on activies, etc. for the kids. Feel free to PM me if you like.

Good luck to you!
